Munduslingua - Language: In 1908 a group of fifty delegates gathered for the Congress of Manastir, an academic meeting that took place in the city of Manastir (nowadays Bitola in Macedonia) and whose goal was to provide the Albanian language with a standardized alphabet. Until then, six different alphabets served to represent the Albanian language, a fact that made Albanian require a unified and standardized writing system. The day of the Congress of Manastir is still remembered to our days under the name of 'Alphabet Day', a yearly celebration on November 22.
