Raúl Hurtado: "The "aborrajado" is a delicious dish consisting of fried ripe plantains stuffed with, typically, mozzarella cheese. What we do is take 2 slices of ripe plantains, fry them for a short while, then take cheese and place it between the 2 slices. Finally we batter the whole thing with flour and fry it one last time... And I am having aborrajado today for lunch..."

The Hermit’s Emotions, written at the age of 16, is a song about family problems. In it the “hermit” represents that person in a family who, all alone, seeks unity between its members. However, only the hermit’s youngest sister, dubbed “Mei Mei”, still has some sense of why it is important for them to remain close despite all what has happened. Hope you enjoy the fifth song of my latest album “Songs from my Childhood”.
Las Emociones del Ermitaño, escrita a los 16 años, es una canción que trata sobre problemas intrafamiliares. En ella el “ermitano” representa a aquella persona en la familia que, sola, busca la unidad de los distintos miembros. Sin embargo, sólo la hermana menor del ermitaño, apodada “Mei Mei”, aún guarda un sentido de por qué es importante para ellos permanecer unidos a pesar de todo lo que ha ocurrido. Espero que disfruten la quinta canción de mi último álbum “Songs from my Childhood”.
